The Style Trial Series....Part 3.

Einstein once said ........"Anyone that has never made a mistake has never tried anything new"........ Now though Mr Einstein may not have been anything of a stylish fashionista of his time  or indeed ever foreseen the formidable and fantastic phenomenon that is the FASHION BLOGGER of today ..HA HA...he could well have been inspired to write his wise words of wisdom for all of us style hunters out there working our way through our lifestyle Journey..........

This look was achieved by working a sheer  vintage apple green blouse with pleather Skinny trousers from Zara.

There is an enemy out there ...its lurking in the darkest nooks and crannies.......it slithers at the back door waiting for the slightest chance to worm its way inside.....FEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  FEAR of getting it wrong....FEAR of getting it right..........FEAR of changing...... FEAR of not changing........FEAR OF FOLK!!!!!!!         The crippling fear of getting our style choices wrong disables out ability to ever get it RIGHT!!!! and ace our signature style. FEAR is a crippling factor  preventing us from finding our own unique individual style. Most people settle for "fitting in" blending into a grey canvas and disappearing into that dull hue. 

The red beret is from Oxfam. Oxfam have a huge range of "New" accessories in their stores which they carry all year  round.

STOP being afraid and start being YOURSELF. .......The key to Freedom from Fear is CONFIDENCE........A most powerful tool........More powerful in my opinion than beauty......and a host of other human attributes usually associated with a successful life.  CONFIDENCE is what  makes the successful and divides the masses. How many times have we all gazed at a model be it fashion or erotic and thought "Wow I could never look like that" the truth of the matter is that CONFIDENCE is the one ingredient that divides and separates us from that image......an image that usually is enhanced by clever make up and filters anyway so that by the final editing the image doesn't even look like the person who was photographed in the first place........HA HA!

The monochrome scarf works well with the vivid green of the vintage blouse.

CONFIDENCE is what makes us look good and to acquire it we need to let go of our fear. As a teenager and in my twenties I was afraid of well.....EVERYTHING.....I lurked in the background and always doubted my ability to do anything....... Then one day I simply became weary of being afraid and I changed.... not over night but gradually......my style helped me immensely as the more whacky my clothing choices became the more I realised that really apart from an isolated negative comment ....well.......NOBODY CARED......and its true no one is obsessed with what we wear or if we choose a bright hue instead of a muted colour.......Life is fast paced and its short.........too short to not wear what we truly want.......

These amazing shoe Boots are another Thrifted bargain.

COURAGE and CONFIDENCE ....a heady mix and a formidable one at that........Now I can think of a few reasons that may go through our minds as we arrive at our destination sporting a new look and feeling afraid of the reactions of others. OK.......we may think....Will I look stupid?........Will people laugh?........Will they say nasty things behind my back?.....Well lets say they do all of the aformentioned......YOU WILL SURVIVE.....Your still sporting your fab outfit that you love wearing, the world is still turning and your friends will still be waiting for you for those "after work drinks" and those close to you still love you... IN OTHER WORDS........SO WHAT....Let them say what they want...are they really so hot/cool....Possibly not and if they are on the outside they are seriously lacking on the inside.

Hold you head up high and if you love what you wear ...SHOW IT.....BE IT.....WORK IT.....and to heck with the begrudgers. If what you wear makes you feel great about yourself then trust your own instincts and be firm and confident in your own choice. 

When these negative people see you rock another "look" with confidence they'll soon quit the gibes as confidence is intimidating and the more FEARLESS you become the more CONFIDENCE you'll acquire. Don't give up on yourself , be firm with your style choice that you love to wear and don't be swayed by others just because they don't agree/want you to wear that particular look. Remember people are complicated and say all sorts of things for a myriad of reasons ... Jealously , fear of losing you, fear of having to change too, fear of you shining too brightly beside them etc.........

So remember .....Confidence is always in style........ So go on and get out there....XXX
