Today I'm starting a new chapter in my life, i.e. that of vintage and modern fashion and all things re-purposed and up-cycled style blogger. I'm another one of the thousands of bloggers out there hoping to make an impact. I'm nervous mostly because of my free-spirited habit of rambling passionately along and never knowing where my thoughts will take me. Hopefully you'll be interested in taking this journey with me. I hope you enjoy it and perhaps we'll have a few laughs along the way!
One of my many up-cycled projects is this snap- shut fifties vintage bag that was looking a little the worse for wear. I purchased it in Se Si in Temple Bar for a few euro. When I got its sorry ass home I wondered at the folly of my judgement. However inspired by the most amazing colourful vintage woollen shawl I was wearing to my daughters confirmation, together with an accordion pleated black fifties vintage dress I decided to paint it! (As you do!!Ha ha!) Here is the resulting photos and the others of my outfit on the day.
We decided to have the after party in the house so I planned a vintage themed table setting. My never-ending collection of mis-matched antique china got a well deserved airing. The table setting theme was vintage fashion with an "Edge!" hence the bubble gum pink candles and monochrome themed napkins all purchased from Tiger. This is my" go to " shop for colour themed table dressings as the variety of colour is amazing. Hope you enjoy the pics!
